A little bit about me: One year ago I was sitting in a posh office in downtown London, about to start my life in the business world. And then catastrophe struck: I downloaded an MP3 onto my computer at work. Harmless, don't you think? Two days later I found myself fired, fined, and jailed. Collateral damage of the digital age.
So here I am, living to New York City with my childhood friend Henry, making a go of it in the blogosphere. Enjoy the posts, and feel free to drop me a line!

A little bit about me: Hello, Internet! It's me, Henry Scott. You've probably heard of me. If not, here's a primer. I've been a stand-up comedian in London for the past few years, before I realized my true calling: blogging. I didn't like the comedy world much anyway. Too many agents. I hate agents. In November 2005 me and my best buddy Mark packed up for New York City, and here we are, proud parents of BathTubYoga. What else? I like Ginkgo Biloba and Ginseng, and women love me.

A few weeks ago I read this article in The Economist. Just before writing this post, I read about Microsoft's efforts to make folders irrelevant for the new operating system, Vista. Google also has Google Desktop, and folders appear to be a thing of the past.
Yet I am making new folders all the time...mostly to organize my pictures and videos. Am I dooming myself to irrelevance? Folders seem like a pretty good way for me to organize my pictures and videos. But if Google doesn't think so, I must be wrong. Which reminds me, since Google is so good at figuring out the best way to run a computer, maybe the company could branch out and start telling people how to run their lives correctly. I know that I could use the help. Imagine:
Mark: What's the best cereal for me to eat for breakfast?
Google: Cheerios, mixed with Rice Krispies, and a handful of raisins.
Mark: Should I buy Henry a present for his birthday?
Google: Search Google.
Mark: What is the best accompaniment to my afternoon tea?
Google: Google Crumpets.

The new file system won't be in Vista

The article notes that Vista is expected in late 2006, while Microsoft's planned new file system for Windows, WinFS, won't be available till 2007.
Thanks for the vaporware, MicroAssholes.
